Emma Cartwright
A Territory girl at heart with Kakadu floodwater flowing through her veins, Emma is the heart and soul of Anglers Choice. She juggles the phone, stacks the beach house esky, and can crack a Mud Crab claw with the best of them!
With a passion for customer service and a strong managerial background, nothing is too much trouble for Em. Just as handy with a diary as she is with a rod, she steers the Anglers Choice ship and ensures smooth sailing for all onboard.
Dave Rinkin
Dave is a highly regarded fishing guide in the Top End. His intimate knowledge of the waters surrounding Dundee is reflected in his ability to help clients catch a large variety of different species.
Dave will take the time to discuss tackle, knots and techniques. He is passionate about guiding and works closely with fisheries research to look after our fishery. Clients love him and fish fear him.
Hully Politis
A true gentleman and a highly-respected fishing guide amongst the industry. Hully has an unsurpassed ability to find quality reef fish. If big black jewfish, coral trout, bluebone, golden snapper and red emperor are on your bucket list then Hully is your man. He is the jewfish whisperer. Hully is also a fabulous cook and often whips up fresh Nummus on the boat. Delicious!
Jackson Rebetzke
When Jackson is not guiding clients onto quality fish he is hunting down barra in the river systems in preparation for his next clients adventure. Barra fishing is his passion but he is just as keen and capable on the bluewater. Jackson is a Territory lad, born with a rod and reel in his hand. He is kind, funny and very capable and has fast become a great asset to the Anglers Choice team.
Billy Kaiser
Known and loved by customers as Billy the Goat (Greatest Of All Time), Billy will entertain you whilst working hard to get you onto great fish. A genuinely great Territory bloke, Billy lives to fish and has experience on the water beyond his years. Many mature aged clients say fishing with Billy is like fishing with and old mate in a younger man's body. The words "Born to Fish" were written for our Billy.
Vinnie Versfeld
With over 10 years of guiding under his belt, Vinnie Versfeld is all about barramundi and fly fishing. He knows the local waters like the back of his hand and loves nothing more than getting clients onto fish. When he’s off the clock, you’ll still find him walking riverbanks, rod in hand, chasing the next bite. Fishing isn’t just his job—it’s what he loves. Easygoing, knowledgeable, and always up for a yarn, Vinnie makes every trip one to remember.
Josh Dow
Whether it’s chasing barra or exploring bluewater reefs, Josh brings energy and skill to every fishing adventure. His expertise and adaptability make him the ideal guide for any crew. Young and upcoming, Josh brings an unbelievable level of expertise and patience for his age. He loves the technical side of fishing and enjoys sharing his knowledge with customers. He excels at all styles of fishing, but his true passion is barra and sport fishing. If Josh can cast a lure at it, he will catch it.
Rocco - Resident Dog
More human than dog, Rocco is a rescue dog that landed in paradise when Emma adopted him in 2020. Rocco lavishes love on every guest and loves a good belly rub. He is the first into the minibus every morning to make sure he never misses a trip to the boat ramp which is the highlight of his day after the dump run. Breakfast bacon is his favourite food followed closely by medium rare scotch fillet.
Chrisi Schultheis
Chrisi is Emma’s right-hand everything and is often called the Beach House fairy. She works tirelessly day and night to create perfection and exceed guest expectations. From running rosters and placing orders to launching boats and retrieving them with trucks or tractors, Chrisi is across every element of Anglers Choice. And yes—she’s also a skilled and capable angler in her own right. Her attention to detail and behind-the-scenes magic ensures the whole operation runs like clockwork, making each guest’s stay unforgettable.
Dean Grimes
Dean navigates between guiding on the BIG boat and the 7.4m boats. He truly is a flexible fishing guide! When he is not on charter, he’s often found fishing with his family around Dundee Beach, including his kids Jordie and Bridie who both attend the local Dundee school. Recently named the "Kindergarten Cop," he loves having families and children on board and truly loves helping the next generation of anglers get hooked on fishing.
Fynn Monahan
Fynn is a 13-year-old local lad and the youngest member of the Anglers Choice crew. He juggles school with weekends and holidays to deckie on the big boat, showing up with enthusiasm and passion every time. Super keen and unbelievably skilled for his age, Fynn’s natural talent and dedication have already made him a favourite among guests and guides alike. He is the future of Anglers Choice, and we couldn’t be prouder to have him onboard.
Andrew Crawford
Craw is the full-time Beach House caretaker and is always onsite to assist with any guest requests. Originally from Port Lincoln, he brings a background in oyster farming, making him well-versed in all things maritime. Craw is an experienced angler and occasionally moonlights as a deckie on the big boat. He can fillet a fish faster than you can say “barra!” Plus, he loves a good chat and makes guests feel instantly welcome. His local knowledge, hard work, and easygoing nature make him a quiet powerhouse behind the scenes.
