Barramundi is recognized as the premier Northern Territory sport fish however, the Top End is alive with an incredible variety of other hard fishing sports fish. At Dundee. Saltwater Barramundi are caught in the nearby Finniss River and big black jewfish, coral trout, red emporer and golden snapper can be caught on the reefs. Darwin and the Northern Territory offer some of the best barramundi and bluewater sport fishing in the world. Anglers’ Choice will provide you with the complete Northern Territory barramundi and blue water fishing package out of Darwin. Experience the best of both worlds and fish the rivers to the reefs where you will have the opportunity to target a large variety of hard fighting fish.

In true sport fishing style you could be casting lures for hungry barramundi in the morning then chasing schools of pelagic fish in the afternoon. The light tackle sport fishing for Queenfish, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, GTs, Barracuda, Cobia plus more is awesome and some of the best that Darwin and the Northern Territory has to offer. Bait fishing on the reefs is a tug of war, especially when you encounter double or triple hook ups with big Black Jewfish, Golden Snapper, Red Emperor, coral trout and a list of other reef fish.

Many people visiting Darwin and the Northern Territory want to experience one day barramundi fishing and one day reef fishing.

Dundee Beach is the ideal location to experience two vastly different styles of fishing from the one location. Spend one night at The Lodge of Dundee and reduce your traveling time and maximize your fishing time by not having to drive to and from Darwin to your fishing location each.

On day one you can head up the coast to the Finniss River to chase barra, and then return to our beach front lodge for sunset drinks, dinner and air-conditioned accommodation.

Day two can see you can bottom bounce with bait for jewfish, coral trout and golden snapper or trolling big fast lures for GTs and Spanish mackerel.

Package includes 1 night accommodation at the Lodge of Dundee, 2 days fishing, lunch on both fishing days, all fishing tackle and equipment. Breakfast and dinner can be purchased at the Lodge.

Darwin is home to the best barramundi fishing in the world.

Saltwater barramundi are generally bigger, fight harder and taste better than freshwater (billabong) barra and the Finniss River is renowned as one of the best barra rivers out of Darwin.

Located a short 20 minute boat ride from the boat ramp at Dundee Beach, the Finniss is a beautiful river that produces not only quality barramundi but also threadfin salmon and big Northern Territory mud crabs.

Day tours depart Dundee Beach at 7am and return by approx 4.30pm. Morning tea, lunch, cool drinks, all fishing tackle and equipment is supplied.

With a maximum of 6 anglers on board, the opportunities to hook up and land big black jewies, golden snapper and other reef fish are good.

Our 7.6m Southwind boat, fitted with twin 115hp motors is the perfect vessel to quickly get you out to your first fishing location.

Depart Dundee Beach boat ramp at approx 7.15am and return by approx 4.30pm.

Top quality fishing tackle, bait, morning tea, lunch, cool drinks, esky full of ice and expert guiding is all part of the package.

Many charter boats that fish Darwin harbor are starting to travel the extra distances required to fish the grounds off Dundee Beach.

On this tour we fish up to 20 nautical miles off shore from Dundee and target over 20 species of fish.

Our one day light tackle sport fishing charters are the real McCoy. If you want your arms ripped off with aggressive fighting fish then look no further. Tuna, Spanish Mackerel., Trevally, Cobia and Queenfish, are all caught off shore at Dundee.

The smaller groups (maximum 5) combined with our fast moving 7.6m sport fishing boat means that we can truly provide you with the ultimate sport fishing adventure.

We have the mobility to pull anchor and move quickly to cover more ground and catch more fish.

Morning tea, lunch, cool drinks, all fishing tackle and equipment is supplied.

Smaller groups also mean that you will not experience the continual tangles and unfortunate bust offs that are common when fishing with larger numbers on board.
