Anglers' Choice Fishing Safaris specialise in catching Barramundi however the Northern Territory is alive with a variety of other saltwater sport fish.

Jewfish, Tuna, Golden Snapper, Trevally, Spanish Mackerel, Coral Trout, GT's plus a host of other fish can be caught on our tours.

We have the expert knowledge to design the perfect itinerary based on the tides and the dates you have available.  If you are targeting a specific fish species, it is recommended you book well in advance to secure the best conditions to maximise your fishing opportunities.

Anglers' Choice encourages catch and release of fish surplus to your needs.

 

Barramundi

Australia's premier sport fish. Inhabits both fresh & salt water. Gutsy fighter that leaps from the water to shake the lure free. Best caught casting & trolling on lures.

Bag limit - 5 per person (2 p/p Mary River system)
Legal size - 55cm

 

Threadfin Salmon

Threadfin Salmon
(Eleutheronema tetradactylum)
Inhabits saltwater estuaries and rivers. Smart opponent. Best caught by sight casting.

Bag limit - General: 30 per person

 

Black Jewfish

(Protonibea diacanthus)
Inhabits costal and offshore reefs. Pull like a road train! Best caught on fresh baits.

Bag limit - 5 per person

 

Long Tail Tuna

Long Tail Tuna
(Thumnus obesus)
Inhabits saltwater. Congregate in large schools. Best caught casting or trolling on lures.

Bag limit - General: 30 per person

 

Queenfish

Inhabits coastal reefs. Fast & aggressive, with more fight per kilo than almost any other fish.Best caught casting or trolling into feeding schools.

Spanish Mackerel

Spanish Mackerel
(Scomberomorus commersom)
Inhabits coastal seas. Runs hard & fast. Razor sharp teeth that make mincemeat of their prey. Best caught casting or trolling into feeding schools. Will readily take live baits.

Bag limit - 5 per person

 

Golden Snapper

(Latjanus russelli)
Inhabits coral reefs both inshore and offshore. Attacks lures and baits hard. Best caught baitfishing but also know to take lures.

Bag limit - General: 5 per person

 

Coral Trout

Inhabits coastal reefs. Takes lures and baits. Superb table fish. Best caught trolling or bait fishing.

Mangrove Jack

Inhabits estuaries and reefs. Hard fighter. Best caught casting lures or fresh baits.

Giant Trevally

Inhabits coastal and offshore waters in the vicinity of reefs. A brute that busts normal tackle. Best caught trolling lures around reefs.

Northern Territory Mud Crab

Northern Territory Mud Crab
Inhabits rivers & estuaries. Watch out for those big nippers. Great eating. Best caught in crab pots.

Bag limit - 30 per boat.
