When Angela's husband sent her to Darwin with her close friend Christine for a few days barra fishing on a mothership, they knew they were in for an adventure.

Mustard keen Brett from South Oz is an experienced angler and a regular with Anglers' Choice. He was the lucky lad that joined Christine and Angela on their trip. Brett has fished with Anglers' Choice several times but that meter barra had eluded him time and time again. Brett was on a mission this year to rewrite history.

As novice anglers, Christine and Angela took to a rod and reel like a duck to water. After a quick intro to a bait caster, there was no stopping them. Several good sessions on the barra to 90cm were had plus some wicked action on the Jewfish reefs where all clients cleaned up on the black jewies.

The girls are now the self-titled Brissy Barra Babes and are returning to Darwin in September to compete in the Reel Women Barra Classic on Corroboree Billabong. The girls are hooked on barra fishing so keep a look out in September for their tournament results.
