Anna from Sweden had never been fishing before and at first was a little hesitant to join her husband Dag on a one day fishing safari. Once on the water, Anna took to fishing like a duck to water. Husband Dag and the other clients on board landed several fish around 50 - 65cm, then it was Anna’s turn.
Having never experienced the thrill of hooking a fish, at first, Anna thought she had a snag. It was not until the big barra launched itself out of the water that Anna realised she was on - Big Time. Anna did a wonderful job landing her first fish, and after a quick photo, it was released back into the water to swim another day.

Thursday 18 February 2006
When Allan Evans from Western Australia booked on a one day fishing safari he had no idea his day would end in big celebrations. Allan had only ever dreamed of catching a barra and could be believe his luck when after catch of a few smaller barra, he joined the metre barra club!
Allan was keen to book the following day but got stuck at the pub celebrating and telling fishing tales about the one that didn’t get away. Congratulations Allan!
